Michael Harding formerly of Sioux Falls, S.D., died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Ploog, in Dubuque early Sunday morning, July 11.
He was born at Mederville, Oct. 19, 1870, the son of the late William and Catherine Harding. He had lived in Sioux Falls, S.D., until a month ago when he returned to Dubuque to make his home.
The body was taken to the Dickman funeral home in Garnavillo. Funeral services were held in St. Joseph's church, Elkader, at 9:30 Monday morning, July 12. The Very Rev. B. H. Skahill officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery, Elkader.
He is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Ploog, Dubuque. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and a sister, Mrs. Agnes Downey, who died six months ago.
Pall bearers were: Geo. Cassidy, Nicholas Finnegan, Ed Livingood, James Kelleher, Frank Farrell, and Edward Butler.
Those attending the funeral from a distance were: Delores Danwoody, Leta Waldnebacker, Peter McCarthy, and Edward Butler, all of Dubuque.
