Funeral services for Mrs. Henry R. Larson, 67, were held from the Witt funeral chapel at one o'clock Wednesday, May 12, the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating, to the Highland Lutheran church at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. A. O. Nesset officiating. Burial was in the Highland cemetery.
Mrs. Larson had been in poor health since last fall, when she was stricken with a heart ailment. Since that time she had resided with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Larson, in Elkader, with the exception of four weeks, when she was able to return to her own home in Highland township. She became critically ill Friday evening, May 07, and died Sunday, May 12, in Elkader.
Ida Nora Thronson was born in Dane county, Wisconsin, July 09, 1880, the daughter of Thomas and Johanna Thronson. She was baptized and confirmed in the East Koshkonong Lutheran church at Albion Prairie, Wis., and received her education in the rural schools near her home.
She was married to Henry R. Larson of Elkader on Jan. 12, 1905. They started farming in Highland township, where they have resided most of the time since. She was a regular attendant at the Highland Lutheran church.
She is survived by her husband and seven children, namely: Mrs. Rosella Mork, Thomas, Sidney, Maurice, Henry Jr., Richard D., and Lawrence; one sister, Mrs. Dena Hanson; three brothers, Elmer, Alfred, and Henry Thronson, of Edgerton, Wis.; also 12 grandchildren.
Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were: Mrs. Dena Hanson, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thronson, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thronson, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Thronson, and Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Thronson, Edgerton, Wis.; Mrs. Dan Bradley, Stoughton, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Sidney, Janesville, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hanson, Cambridge, Wis.; and Mrs. B. O. Paulson of Owatonna, Minn.
