Robert J. Roehlk, 71, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday May 8, 1992, at St. Luke's Hospital after a short illness. Gravestide services and inurnment will be held at 1:30p.m. Saturday Sept. 26, 1992, at East Side Cemetery, Elkader, with Rev. Bob Williams officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Lemka-Stendel American Legion Post.
Robert Roehlk was born December 23, 1920, in Tipton, to John and Pauline (Soll) Roehlk. He graduated from Drake University in 1949 after serving in World War II as a navigator and bombardier in India with the Army Air Corps.
He married Laura Sharp December 17, 1946, in Elkader. He was employed by Collins Radio and Barnard and Leas Manufacturing.
Survivors include his wife Laura; a son Richard of Cedar Rapids; a daughter Susan Roehlk of Madison, Wis., and a grandson, Sam Bolton of Madison, Wis.
