Earl Nichols, 54, died suddenly of a heart attack Friday evening at his home.
Son of Samuel and Loretta Jones Nichols he was born Aug. 25, 1892 near Colesburg. On March 14, 1917 he was married at Edgewood to Adah Mae Michael. They farmed until moving to Strawberry Point 18 years ago and since that time has been Shell Oil delivery man. He was a member of the I.O.O.F.
Survivors are the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Darlyne Brandenburg, two grandchildren, Cheryl Karen and Richard Lee Brandenburg, two brothers Norman Nichols of Greeley Leslie of Waterville, a sister Mrs. Joe Brown of Colesburg.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon by the Rev. R. Park Anderson in the Methodist church. Music was furnished by Miss Mary Lou Rusk and Dr. R. W. Dutton accompanied by Mrs. Lloyd Kramer.
Casket bearers were: William Jewell, Raymond Niehaus, Ralph Gusta, George Barr, John Tinker and Lee Wing. Burial was here.
