Clayton County Register, 05 Dec. 1946.

Funeral services for George Clinton, 56, of McGregor, were held at the Oelke funeral home in Elkader Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Paul Kitterer of the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church officiated. Burial was in the Union cemetery at Littleport.

Mr. Clinton died suddenly of a heart attack while visiting his brother, Charles Clinton, at Ponca City, Okla. He had been a resident of Littleport all his life until five years ago, when he moved to McGregor. He was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife and two brothers, Charles of McGregor and Ernest of Ponca City, Okla. For brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
