Word was received this week from Mrs. Nelly Peery Price of Los Angeles, Calif., of the death of Dr. Glen G. White, who for many years practiced medicine in Elkader. Dr. White died at his home at 2725 S. Hoover street in Los Angeles at 1 a.m., November 17 after having been in failing health for several years and confined to his bed the last month.

Unity services were held Saturday morning and the body was cremated.

Glen White, son of Thomas D. and Celinda Clark White, was born at National, Iowa, in April, 1866. He graduated from Lenox college at Hopkinton, taught school two years and then graduated from the medical college of the University of Iowa. After one year in Belleview hospital, New York City, Dr. White began the practice of medicine here in 1892 and remained here more than 40 years.

In 1893, Dr. White married Lucy Clark, who survives him. He also leaves two sons, Valmah Sherman White, who is practicing law in Decorah, and Dwayn Dixon White, now in the service in the South Pacific.

Dr. and Mrs. White and their son moved to California a number of years ago.
