Mrs. Hannah Steward, wife of Wm. Steward, was born in Kalamazoo, Mich. Oct. 16th, 1839. She died at her home in this city Feb. 9th, 1885, at two o'clock, age 54 years, 3 mos. and 23 days. The funeral took place from the home Tuesday, Feb. 10 inst. at 2 o'clock P.M.
The services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. F.J. Norton of the M.E. church, who spoke appropriately from the words "This woman was full of good works", "Be ye also."
The profound sympathy of the entire community goes out to the afflicted and bereaved family especially so for the father, who so recently met with such a dreadful misfortune - the loss of an eye, which leaves him in total blindness.
"Now we see through a glass darkly," "Now we know in part, But then face to face."
