Funeral services were held Monday at the Lutheran church in Arlington for Mrs. Pauline Handel Gamm, 76, who died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Baumgartner near Strawberry Point, after a short illness. The Rev. H. Wilke officiated.
Mrs. Gamm was born on a farm near Andrew, Iowa, and on July 01, 1890 she was married to J. Leonard Gamm. Survivors are nine children: Will, Paul, Elmer, Mrs. Anna Schrader and Mrs. Caroline Marquardt, all of Arlington; John of Volga City; Mrs. Bertha Kleinlein and Mrs. Alice Baumgartner, of Strawberry Point; and Mrs. Katherine Burrack, of Aurora. Two brothers, Will Handel, of Arlington ; and John Handel, of Des Moines; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Streicher, of Lamont; and Mrs. Elizabeth Kellogg, of Strawberry Point also survive. Her Husband and three brothers preceded her in death.
Pall bearers at the service were: Erwin Gamm, Leonard Gamm, Gerald Daisy, Joseph Hall, Werner Dreucker and Henry Combs. Burial was in Union Cemetery.
