Mrs. Kenneth Knospe, 27, of Guttenberg, died early Saturday morning in a Dubuque hospital about five hours after an auto-truck accident at Millville. Her husband is in critical condition at the hospital.
(Several words missing) -gated the accident, which occurred about 7:45 Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Knospe were driving north on highway 52 in a truck owned by the Meuser lumber company, Guttenberg, and were about to pass a car driven by Kenneth Walters, Guttenberg, when the Walters car made a left turn to enter a gas station in Millville. The truck crashed into the rear of the car, and Mr. Knospe lost control. The truck went into the ditch and caught fire. Both Mr. and Mrs. Knospe were seriously burned before they could be dragged from the flames. They were taken to a Dubuque hospital immediately, and Mrs. Knospe died early Saturday morning.
Funeral services for Mrs. Knospe were at Guttenberg Sunday. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Fabert, Guttenberg; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice Pape, Guttenberg, Mrs. Lucille Kendall, Clayton, and Rosemary at home; two brothers, Louis Fabert, Guttenberg, and Ernest Fabert, Clayton; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dryer and Ernest Fabert, all of Guttenberg.
