Frank Hill, 40 year old commercial fisherman was fatally injured at his home four miles south of McGregor when a gun he was holding by the barrel hit against a doorstep and discharged. He was rushed to the McGregor hospital by motorboat, but died on the way.
Mr. Hill was the youngest brother of the Nate Hill family which has for a number of years been connected with commercial fishing in the area.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Nate Hill; his wife, two sons, John who is stationed at Scott Field, Mo., with the U.S. Army, and Albert of McGregor; two brothers, George of Hickory, N.C., and Bob of McGregor, and a sister Mrs. Alfred Regal, Dubuque.
