Clayton County Register, 16 May 1946.

STRAWBERRY POINT: Mrs. Hannah Grassmeyer, 83, died Sunday at Oneida, where she was being cared for.

Hannah Steward, daughter of William and Hannah McCullough Steward was born April 24, 1863, at Strawberry Point. In July 1896 she was married to John Grassmeyer, who died in May 1940. She lived her entire lifetime in this community.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. R. Park Anderson at the Gill Funeral chapel. Casket bearers were Rich Alderson, Tom Malone, S. F. Schoentag, Ray Alderson, Ed Donath and Dave Whetstone. Burial was here. One sister, Mrs. Hattie Wheeler, survives.
