Jule Duerst, long time resident of Strawberry Point, died Thursday at the Fred Moser home, where he had been living.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Duerst, he was born Aug. 20, 1863. On Feb. 12, 1911, he was married to Emma Brink, a sister of Mrs. Bert Stamp of this place. Mrs. Duerst died April 19, 1939. They had no children, and the only survivors are distant relatives.

Funeral services were Monday morning at 10:30 at the Emanuel Lutheran church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. S. J. Meyer. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
