Mrs. Bertha Fox died at her home in Farmersburg Monday afternoon, Oct. 09. Funeral services for her were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon from the Schultz funeral home in Monona to St. John's Lutheran church in Farmersburg at 2 p.m. with burial in the Monona cemetery.

Mrs. Fox was born June 13, 1865, near National in Farmersburg township, Clayton county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wahls. In 1894 she was married to Frank Fox in St. Louis, Mo., and lived in that city until 1904 when she returned to Clayton county. In 1919 she returned to Farmersburg where she built a new home in which she lived the remainder of her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Stella Parker of Wilmington, California, two grandchildren and ten nieces and nephews.

A longer obit in the Monona Leader gives burial in St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran cemetery, Monona. Also her parents: John & Maria (Jacobs) Wahls.
