Elizabeth Waring, 67, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Bert Tickner in Waterloo, on Friday afternoon, Sept. 08, 1950, after a long illness. Born June 20, 1883, at Aurora, she was the daughter of Louis and Eliza Fredrick Waring. She had lived the last ten years of her life in Waterloo.
Survivors include three brothers and three sisters. The brothers are Charles Waring of Arlington, Will of Strawberry Point and Lawrence of Chicago. The sisters are Mrs. Bert Tickner of Waterloo, Mrs. Will Gladwin, and Mrs. Robert Nieman, both of Oelwein. Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 10, at 2:00 p.m. at the Gill chapel in Strawberry Point and interment was in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
