Clayton County Register, 31 Dec. 1942.

Funeral services were held in St. Joseph's church Saturday, Dec. 26, for Mrs. Partrick Phelan, who died at her home in Boardman township Dec. 24, 1942.

The Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. P. Taken officiated. Burial was made in St. Joseph's cemetery.

Mrs. Phelan was born at Elkport, June 15, 1869, and has lived in this vicinity all her life.

On February 20, 1885 she was married to Patrick Phelan, who preceded her in death in 1932.

She is survived by two children, Pvt. Harold Phelan, Barnes Gen. Hospital, Tacoma, Wash., and Pvt. Leo Phelan, and three grandchildren, Pvt. James Phelan, Donna Mae Phelan and Jerome Phelan. Three children preceded her in death.

Pallbearers were, Mike Conley, Harold Conley, Raymond Conley, Harley Downey, James Cain and Mike McTaggart.
