Mrs. Valmah Kramer, 63, died last Sunday after a brief but critical illness at the university hospital at Iowa City.

Louise Catherine, daughter of Marie Dahling and Frank Schuldt, was born on the home farm in Cox Creek township, Oct. 25, 1879, and received her education in the public schools of the county. On March 22, 1904 she was married to Valmah Carl Kramer in Littleport, Iowa. Three children were born to this union, Alice Marie at home, Alfred Raymond of Rockford, Ill., and Franklin who preceded her in death Nov. 12, 1940. Her husband died Dec. 14, 1930.

In addition to her two remaining children she is survived by four grandchildren, Gerald Raymond, William Franklin, and James Keith of Rockford. Ill., and Sharon Kay, daughter of the late Franklin. A granddaughter, Mary Jane died January 03, 1940. One brother, William Schuldt of Littleport and two sisters, Mrs. John Nading of Littleport, and Mrs. John Oelinger of Strawberry Point, also survive.

Mrs. Kramer was a life-long resident of Clayton county, the last two years in Elkader. She was a member of the Ladies Guild of the Congregational Christian church, of the Royal Neighbors, was a former leader of the 4-H girls clubs and a leader of various women's projects.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 o'clock from the Witt funeral chapel and at 2:00 o'clock from the Congregational Christian church, the Rev. George M. Richter officiating. Burial was made in the east side cemetery. Pallbearers were John Leonard, Mike Leonard, Albert Bushkofsky, Ben Casey, Jay Dunn and Lester Stahl.
