STRAWBERRY POINT: Mrs. Lois Lang, 86, died Saturday evening, Aug. 29, at 10:30 o'clock, following a lingering illness. She was born near Volga City, June 24, 1856, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Chapman. Feb. 10, 1877 she was married to Edgar Lang, who passed away July 04, 1928. Mrs. Lang had lived in this community most of her life, where Mr. Lang was interested in a meat market and was also a stock buyer. Surviving are seven children: Edward of Chicago, Ill.; William of Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Frank (Donna) Fivecoats of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; Nick, Check, Ola, and Mrs. Myrtle O'Neil of Strawberry Point. There are also 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Congregational church, the Rev. Vernon Benson officiating. Burial was in Strawberry Point cemetery.
