Funeral services were held here Saturday morning at St. Joseph's church for Miss Jennie Dinan, who died Thursday morning in Chicago following a short illness.
The Right Rev. Monsignor J. P. Taken, pastor, officiated and burial was made in the family lot in St. Joseph's cemetery. The pall bearers were: Arthur Donlon, Stephen Donlon, Joe Hoover, John B. Donlon, John Stence and Joseph Dinan.
Jennie Dinan was born on the old Dinan homestead, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Dinan, pioneer residents of this community. She spent the early years of her life in this community but the last several years she resided in Chicago, where she made her home with relatives, Dr. S. E. Donlon and family.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Patrick Downey, Elkader, Ia., Mrs. James McTaggart, Strawberry Point, Iowa, two brothers James Dinan, Elkader, Ia., and Lawrence Dinan, Littleport, Iowa.
