GARBER: Funeral services were conducted last Monday afternoon for Ray Smock of Greeley at the Elk Creek school house by the Rev. Warren Bintz, pastor of the Zion Methodist church. Burial was made in the Elk Creek cemetery. Pallbearers were Karl Keck, Lawrence Brookshire, Bernard Sabin, John Gleason, Gilbert Morley and __ald Morley.
Ray Smock, son of George and Minnie Smock, was born October 9, 1900, and died Feb. 21, 1942. After the death of his parents he made his home with his brother, Cecil. He never married. He was preceded by his parents and an infant brother, Lawrence. His death is mourned by five brothers, Ernie of Garber, Bert of Delhi, Cecil, Claude and Earl of Greeley; four sisters, Gerty Ingles and Bernice Jones of Greeley, _l_y Hahn of Dubuque and Hazel Morley of Volga; 22 nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
