Funeral services for Gerald Wayne Frye, son of Corporal and Mrs. Wilbur Frye, were held from the Oelke funeral home at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, and from the Frieden's Evangelical and Reformed church at 2 p.m. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Burial was in the Luana cemetery.

Gerald was taken sick about noon Saturday and died at his home here about 8 o'clock Sunday morning, Oct. 07, 1945, of pneumonia.

Gerald Wayne Frye, the son of Cpl. and Mrs. Wilbur Frye, was born in Elkader, Iowa, March 26, 1945. He was six months and 11 days old at the time of his death. His father, who has been in the ___________ for the past 13 months and is now on Leyte island and has never seen his son.

Surviving are his parents, one sister, Gaye Lynne, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Frye of Luana and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Koehn of Farmersburg.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Dougherty, Robert Lee Hulverson, Richard Koehn and Edward Olson

Flower girls were Beverly Kennett, of Monona, and Delores Kelleher.
