MCGREGOR: Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Frank D. Hatch, former McGregor businessman, who died Saturday at the age of 84, having spent all but the first seven years of his life in and near McGregor. He was born in Waukon in 1861, coming here with his family when he was seven. They later moved to the Hatch farm on Pleasant Ridge. In 1890 he was married to Mary Leroy, a McGregor teacher, who preceded him in death in December, 1944. The four children born to them also preceded him in death, all four dying in infancy.

The services were conducted at the Pilkington funeral home Monday with burial in Pleasant Grove cemetery. The Rev. Paxton Smith officiated. Mr. Hatch is survived by a brother, Bert, in Michigan, and a sister, Mrs. Ben Kinsley of McGregor.
