Funeral services for Carolyn Mary Connors, seven-months-old twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Connors, who died at Mercy hospital Dubuque, Iowa, on Friday, Sept. 07, was held at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Elkader at 9:30 Monday morning Sept. 10. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. P. Taken officiating at the mass of the Holy Angels.
The tiny casket was carried by four small girls who acted as pallbearers. They were: Janet and Janice Dougherty, Lois Ann Kuehl and Donna Mae Fassbinder. Lavonne Ehrhardt served as flower girl.
Music was furnished by St. Joseph's choir.
Carolyn Mary is survived by her parents, her twin sister Marilyn Corrine, three other sisters; Rachel, Eileen and Ronilla Ann; one brother, Eugene; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schulte, of Garnavillo; and Eugene Connors Elkader.
Attending the funeral from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schulte, Betty and Leon Kahn all of Garnavillo; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kahn and Rita Mae of Guttenberg; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Link and Jerome; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Schoulte, Ronnie and Bobbie, Mrs. Caspar Schoulte, Carolyn, Julia and Francis and Miss Ellen O'Riley all of McGregor.
