Clayton County Register, 12 July 1945.

STRAWBERRY POINT: James Edward Schmidt, 5 weeks old, died at the Oelwein hospital Monday.

He was born May 24, 1945 at the Oelwein hospital, the son of Lottie and Carl Schmidt of Strawberry Point.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schmidt; one sister Lorraine, and a brother Andrew; his grandmother Mrs. Ludwig Schmidt and his grandfather Mr. Sebald Andreae, all of Strawberry Point.

Prayer services were held Monday afternoon at the Gill Funeral chapel.

Burial at the St. Sebald cemetery.
