George Larson, 61, died Wednesday morning, June 20, at Finley hospital in Dubuque after an illness on one day.
Mr. Larson, son of Andrew and Josephine Larson, was born in Marion township, Clayton county, March 26, 1884, and was baptized and confirmed in the Norway Lutheran church near St. Olaf. He received is education in the rural schools of Clayton county.
During his life his occupations included farming and, carpentry. For 50 years of his life he stayed with his parents and assisted them.
He is survived by five brothers: Martin Larson, Monona; Henry Larson, Elgin; Peter Larson and William Larson, Elkader; John Larson, St. Olaf. His parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 Friday at the Witt funeral home and at 2:00 at the Norway Lutheran church. The Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiated. Pallbearers were Mr. Larson's nephews: Arthur Larson, Adolph Larson, Clarence Larson, Aldo Larson, Roscoe Larson and Warren Larson.
Burial was at the Norway Lutheran church cemetery.
