Clayton County Register, 03 May 1945.

ST. OLAF: Funeral services were held for Gilbert Hanson last Saturday afternoon at the Norway church. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Hason was born November 25, 1854, in Norway and died April 27, 1945, at Monona in the home of Minnie Dull after a lingering illness. As one of a family of nine children all of whom migrated from Norway and arrived in McGregor in 1859, he spent most of his life in St. Olaf.

He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Pall bearers were: A. J. Larson, Tov Torsrud, K. K. Knudson, Albert Clausen, Philman Embretson and Gunner Landsgaard.
