Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Stalnaker, Elkader, who died at Sac City will be held from the Witt Funeral chapel, at 2 p.m. Friday, May 04. The Rev. George M. Richter will conduct the services. Burial will be at Littleport.

Mrs. Stalnaker had gone just recently to visit her daughter, Mrs. Walter Otto. Notice of her death coming to the undertaker did not state when her death occurred.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Stalnacker, 77, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Otto, at Sac City, Ia., on Wednesday, May 02, were held from the Witt Funeral Chapel here at two o'clock Friday afternoon. The Rev. George M. Richter, pastor of the Congregational Christian church officiated. Burial was in the Littleport cemetery at Littleport.

Mrs. Stalnaker had been in failing health for several months. Three weeks ago she sold her home in Elkader and went to make her home with her daughter in Sac City.

Anna Gottschalk, daughter of August and Wilhelmina Gottschalk, was born in Littleport, Ia., on March 18, 1868. She received her education in the rural schools of the county and the Normal school at Algona, Ia. She spent her entire life in Clayton county with the exception of a few years at Dubuque, Ia., and Canton, S.D. On August 15, 1897, she was married to Silas M. Stalnaker at Littleport, Ia. Two children were born to this union: (Minieva), Mrs. Walter Otto of Sac City, and Carroll of Auburn, Alabama.

Surviving besides her two children are two sisters, Mrs. Flora Laxon of Canton, S.D., and Mrs. A. L. Liede of Story City, Ia.; also four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers were: F. E. Sharp, G. J. Graf, L. J. Ehrhardt, H. M. Wolf, W. W. Davidson, John Farrel.
