Funeral services for Carl J. Hendrickson were held in the Congregational church Friday afternoon with burial in Pleasant Grove cemetery. He died at the McGregor hospital Wednesday following a long period of invalidism.

He was born in 1879 in the Swede Ridge vicinity. As a young man he was employed by the Milwaukee railroad and then for 25 years he served as manager of the Marquette stock yards.

He is survived by his wife, his son, Staff Sgt. Henry Hendrickson, who has been overseas in India and the Pacific for the past 27 months, and two brothers, John Hendrickson of McGregor, and Ben Hendrickson of Mason City.
