Doris Mae Walter, 21, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy E. Walter, near Clayton Center, died April 06.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 09, at the Witt funeral home here and Zion Lutheran church at Clayton Center by the Rev. G. K. Mykland, pastor. Burial was in the United Brethren cemetery.

Doris Mae, born May 10, 1924, in Wagner township, Clayton County, fell when ten years old, causing a physical illness which increased through the years, finally causing her death. Her parents are Guy E. Walter and Anna M. Kamaus Walter. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith on Aug. 03, 1924, and when old enough attended Sunday school at Norway Lutheran church. Her entire life was spent in Wagner township except for six years near Littleport and the last three years of her life near Clayton Center.

She is survived by her parents, two brothers, and one sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Walter of Cedar Rapids, and Pfc. Homer Walter, stationed in India, and many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers at the funeral services were: Lloyd Kamaus, Millard Kamaus, Ervin Kamaus, Richard Hofer, Carl Johansen, Melvin Nihms. Flower girls were: Mrs. Richard Hofer and Mrs. Millard Kamaus.
