Kathleen L. Meese, 70, Edgewood, died Tuesday evening, March 19, at the Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque.

She was born February 14, 1915, at Littleport, Iowa, the daughtr of Thomas Madden and Theresa Kafer.

Kathleen was a former Edgewood business woman and a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church. She married Oscar Meese in 1935.

Kathleen is survived by s son, Terry O. Meese, Edgewood; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Madden, Sun City, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Oscar in 1976; a son, Thomas, in 1981; and a brother, Clarence Madden.

The funeral service was held Friday, March 22, 1985, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Edgewood, with burial in St. Mark's Cemetery.

Reverend Joseph Kissling officiated. Casket bearers were: Jim Chalupsky, Steve Funk, Ernest Harbaugh, Harry Hubbard, Vesse Klosterman, and Larry Wieferich.
