Clarence E. Madden, 49, of 2408 Atlanta Ave, a Lawton, Oklahoma businessman since 1946 died unexpectedy about 1:30 A.M. Saturday in his home after suffering a heart attack. Rev. Paul Mallan of St. Barbara's Catholic church administered last rites of the church and officiated at the services. Burial was in the Highland cemetery.
Mr. Madden operated a new and used car lot since 1946 and a grocery store since 1959. He lived in Lawton since 1944. He was a field representative for Rep. Victor Wickersham, a vetran of world war II, a member of the Elks club and American Legion, also served as inspector General for the AMVETS.
He was born in Littleport, Iowa on Sept. 19, 1911 and was marrried to Ella Gerbald Nov. 25, 1952 in Lawton. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Clarence Thomas and James Patrick and a daughter Elizabeth, all at home; a brother (Col.) Joseph Cecil Madden of Pamona, Calif. and a sister, Mrs. Kathleen Meese of Edgewood.
