Mrs. Nellie Bergan died at the home of her nieces, the Misses Mae and Libbie Corcoran in Dubuque, at 6:30 Monday morning following several weeks illness.

Mrs. Bergan was born in Dubuque county. She went to Dubuque 10 years ago and has since resided there. For a number of years, she and her husband resided in Volga City after moving from their farm home in Highland township.

She was a member of St. Columbkille's church, Dubuque, the Rosary society and the League of the Sacred Heart.

Survivors are 11 nieces and six nephews. Her husband Michael Bergan preceded her in death, also her parents, John and Marguerite Corcoran, four brothers and two sisters. A sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lizzie and Jim Bergan of Volga City Survive.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart church in Volga City, with the pastor, the Rev. D. T. Noonan celebrating the Requiem High Mass.

Burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery, Volga.
