Funeral services for Miss Jane Connell, 85, who died at her home here early Monday morning, Feb. 26, following a long period of failing health, will be held from the Oelke funeral home at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning to St. Joseph's church at 10 a.m. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. James P. Taken will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery.

Funeral services for Miss Jane Connell, 85, who died at her home here on Tuesday Feb. 27, following two weeks illness were held from the Oelke funeral home at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning to Saint Joseph church at 10 a.m. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. James P. Taken officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery.
Jane Connell, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Connell, was born in Boardman township on February 06th, 1860. She received her education in the rural schools of Clayton county. She was a member of Saint. Joseph's church.
She is survived by one brother, P. J. Connell of Luverne, Minn., and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Ready of Hanover, Ill., also a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were: Harley Downey, Charlie Meyer, Thomas Garaghty, Nicholas Finnegan, M. J. Garaghty and D. E. Livingood
Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were: J. C. Nugent, Jo Ann Mellon, and Mrs. Leo Nugent, and Mrs. A. J. Papenfus, all of Dubuque; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hagensick, Monona; Gordon Connell and Mrs. Lizzie Connell, Garnavillo; and Mr. and Mrs. John Hagensick of Farmersburg.
