MCGREGOR: Funeral services for William Gebhardt, 75, were held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church with the Rev. E. H. Shuey officiating. Burial was in the Giard cemetery, the vicinity in which he spent his entire life.

He was born on a farm near Giard, June 15, 1869, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Gebhardt. He married Katherine Walter in 1896, and they went to live on a farm near his parent's home where he farmed until his retirement two years ago. Mrs. Gebhardt preceded him in death in 1908.

He is survived by his seven children, Ernest, Des Moines; Herbert, Glidden, Iowa: John, Giard; Freda, Chicago; Frances, Chicago; Margaret, Wisconsin State board of health, La Crosse, Wis.; and Mrs. Clifton Oleson, wife of Major Clifton Oleson, base commander at Meridian, Miss. air base. He is also survived by five grandchildren, one brother, Ben, Giard; and four sisters, Mrs. G. Turner, Iowa City; Mrs. Arthur Knapp, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. John Schmitt and Mrs. Freda Borts of Monona.
