STRAWBERRY POINT: Mrs. Michael Herren, 66, died Wednesday at University hospital, Iowa City.
Elise Herren, daughter of Eilt and Adelaide Herren, was born in Germany, Feb. 21, 1878. When 13 years of age she came with her parents to Strawberry Point. On Jan. 27, 1897 she was married to Michael Herren. They farmed in this community until moving to town in 1938.
Survivors are the husband; three sons, Ernest of Clinton, Fred of Dubuque, Arnold of Rockford,
Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Carl Tjaden of Wyoming, Iowa, Mrs. Lewis Weeks of Strawberry Point, and Mrs. Elsie Cooper of Laurel, Mont.; 14 grandchildren; one brother, Henry Herren of Westgate; a sister, Mrs. T. H. Garrels of Lamont.Funeral services were held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Lutheran church with the Rev. L. A. Stumme in charge.
