Funeral services for Patrick Needham, 73, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Albert Geno, Monday evening Oct. 10, after an illness of six months following a stroke, were held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Monona Thursday morning, Oct. 12. The Rev. Father Luke Donlon officiated. Burial was made in the Monona cemetery.
Mr. Needham was born at Garber, Ia., April 13, 1871, the son of Daniel and Ella Needham. His entire life had been spent in Clayton County with the exception of three years at Spencer, Ia. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
In 1886, he was married to Katie Hand at Garber, Ia. Their married life was spent on farms near Garber and Monona.
Surviving are two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Albert Geno of Elkader, Mrs. Bob Luster and Joseph Needham both of Monona, and Bartley Needham of Waukon, Ia. He was preceded in death by his wife and one son, Leo.
Pallbearers were: George Meyer and Tony Sweeney of Elkader, Ed Shaffer, Ed Nickelson and Mr. Moses all of Monona, Ed McAndrew and Jack McGuire both of McGregor.
