Clayton County Register, 12 Oct. 1944.

Among those attending the funeral of Sharon Kay, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fredrick, at Guttenberg Tuesday afternoon were: Mrs. Milton Voelker and son Leroy, Mrs. Francis West of Elkader, Mrs. Walter Mitts, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Blockhaus and son Otis, and Mrs. Severn Blockhaus of Elgin.
