Funeral services for Charles Lyle Miller, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Miller of Dubuque, were held from the Egelhof funeral home to St. Mark's Lutheran church at 1 p.m. last Wednesday with the Rev. Max Pinkert officiating. Bob Siggul sang two solos.

Pallbearers were Lawrence E. Miller, Jr., Kenneth Miller of Elkader, Waldean Mohrman, Jr. of Cascade, Charles Loper, Dick Wendt and Dale Schultz, all of Dubuque. Burial was made in the East Side cemetery.

Charles Miller was born Feb. 03, 1929 at Elkader, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Miller. He attended the public school here and after moving to Dubuque with his parents two years ago, attended Fulton and Washington schools in Dubuque. He died at the University of Iowa hospital Friday at 8:40 p.m., after several weeks illness.

The youth was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran church at Dubuque. Besides his parents he is survived by two brothers, Pvt. Dale H. Miller, Camp Roberts, Calif., and Harley Miller at home; one sister Berdina, at home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Miller of Dubuque and John Gottschalk of Littleport. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1936 and by his grandmother, Mrs. John Gottschalk, in 1942.

Those from out of town attending the funeral were Private Miller of Camp Roberts, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence C. Miller and family and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Miller of Elkader, Mrs. Arthur Wolter of Luana, Mrs. Addie DeGraw and Lee DeGraw of Hazleton and Mr. and Mrs. Waldean Monrman of Cascade.
