GARBER: Mrs. Melinda Schnepf, the daughter of Christian and Mary Mueller Stiefel, was born in Philadelphia, Pa., Feb. 09, 1861, and died, due to advanced age, Friday, March 03 at 2:10 p.m., at the age of 83 years and 23 days.

She was married to Conrad Schnepf at Elkport on April 26, 1881.

She leaves to mourn her departure two sons, Henry of Garber and George at home; three daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Gaynor of Mason City, Mrs. Alma Bucker of Forest Park, Ill., and Mrs. Elsie Thomas of Winslow, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died April 03, 1931, and by two sons, Edward, who died in infancy, and Arthur, who died May 29, 1943. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Sophia Cuthbert, of Milwaukee, Wis.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J. Gaterman at St. John's church with interment in Mt. Harmony cemetery.

She spent her entire married life in the Garber community.

Pall bearers were Ed Lundt, Geo. Webber, Philip Beeh, Fred Thein, Earl Brown and Rudolph Rentschler.

The following from out of town attended the funeral: Lucia, Amelia and John Roggman, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold oggman of Garnavillo, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Saur and son of Elkader.
