St. Paul's Lutheran church in Monona provided the setting, Aug. 20, for the marriage of Miss Phyllis Lamker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Lamker, and Lorin Dettman, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Dettman, both of Monona. Rev. R. C. Schlueter, pastor, officiated. Miss Rachel Lamker served her sister as maid of honor, and Myron Dettman, the groom's brother, was best man. Duane Lamker, the bride's cousin, was groomsman. Julius Dettman, cousin of the groom, and Lloyd Drahn served as ushers.

At the reception in the church parlors, Mrs. Ed Rolling of Monona and Miss Joan Larsen of Galva, Iowa, cut the cake, and Miss Amy Fisher, of Titonka, Iowa, cousin of the bride, poured.

The bride is a graduate of the Monona high school and has received a certificate from Iowa Teachers college. For the past two years she has been an instructor in the public schools at Coggon, Iowa. Mr. Dettman is a graduate of the Monona high school and is engaged in farming near Monona, Where the new home will be made.
