Saturday, July 25, Miss Janice Dougherty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. V. Dougherty of Elkader, became the bride of Adolph Hanson Jr., son of Mrs. Lydia Hanson, also of Elkader. The Rev. Daniel Gorman officiated. Miss Jeanette Dougherty, twin sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Marvin Berse, brother-in-law of the groom, was his attendant. Bernard and Jerry Dougherty, brothers of the bride, were ushers. Jim Dougherty served as acolyte.

Following a wedding trip to Wisconsin, the new couple will live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where they both are employed.
