Miss Geraldine Scherf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Scherf of Elkader, became the bride of Carl Funk, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Funk, also of Elkader, Tuesday, June 30, at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Garnavillo. The Rev. L. C. Urlaub officiated. Wilma Scherf, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor, and Violet Esmann and Mrs. Marlene Glawe, cousins of the bride, were bridesmaids. Bernell Glawe, friend of the couple, served as best man, and John Scherf, brother of the bride, Verdine Glawe, cousin-in-law of the bride, and Eldean Scherf, cousin of the bride, all served as groomsmen. Arthur Scherf, brother of the bride, and Kenneth Tockman, cousin of the bride, served as ushers. Mrs. Marie Mueller, sister of the bride, took care of the guest book.
At the reception, Mrs. Irene Buckman, aunt of the bride, cut and served the cake. Mrs. Viola Frietag, aunt of the groom, and Mrs. Arnold Zittergruen, cousin of the groom, opened the presents.
The new couple will make their home with the groom's parents.
