At Peace Evangelical and Reformed church in Elkader, May 25, wedding vows were exchanged between Miss Betty Lou Glawe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Glawe of Elkport, and Lawrence Kuehl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Kuehl of Strawberry Point. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Mrs. Nathan Moser, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Lois Glawe was bridesmaid. Dale Kuehl served his brother as best man and Douglas Kuehl was groomsman. Ushers were Loren Glawe, brother of the bride, and Douglas Clinton, friend of the groom.
A reception for 75 guests was held in the church parlor, where Mrs. Orville Putzur of Garnavillo, aunt of the bride, poured, and Mrs. Kenneth Newbern, aunt of the bride, cut the cake.
Following a wedding trip to Yellowstone National Park, the couple will be at home with the groom's parents until Mr. Kuehl will enter the armed services sometime in July.
