Butson - Thorson marriage - 1953

BUTSON, THORSON

Miss Evelyn Thorson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Thorson of St. Olaf, became the bride of Vernon L. Butson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Butson of Jeffers, Minn., Sunday, March 29. Dr. S. J. H. Strandjord officiated in the Norway Lutheran church at St. Olaf. Maid of honor was the bride's friend, Miss M_lba Holmberg of Minneapolis, Minn., and Dr. Wallace Butson of Wells, Minn., the groom's brother, served as best man. Ushers were Burton Thorson, St. Olaf, and Lee Glesne, Montezuma.

The bride is a graduate of the Elkader high school and Iowa State college, and at present is Home Economist for Rural Cooperative Power association in Elk River, Minn. The groom attended South Dakota State college and University of Minnesota and is now employed at D___'s Mortuary and Home Furnishings at Elk River, Minnesota.

After a short honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. Butson will be at home in Elk River, Minn.
