GARNAVILLO: Delpha Duede, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arno Duede of Garnavillo, became the bride of Paul W. Peterson, Navy Airman First Class, at St. Paul's Lutheran church Saturday. Rev. L. C. Urlaub officiated. The groom's brother-in-law, Robert Leeman of Guttenberg, acted as best man, and Miss Joann White of Dubuque, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Ushers were Tommy Fischel of Rockford, Ill., and Norman Peterson of St. Olaf, both cousins of the groom.
At a reception for about 275 guests in the church basement after the ceremony, Mrs. Robert Leeman, sister of the groom, presided at the coffee table, while Miss Alo Behnken and Mrs. Norton Bernhardt, cousin of the bride, cut the cake.
The bride is a graduate of the Garnavillo high school and has been employed at the Adams Company in Dubuque, where she will continue working. Mr. Peterson was graduated from the Guttenberg high school, and has been serving in the Navy for almost three years. He will resume his duties April 13 at Ream Field, San Ysidro, California.
