Hofer - Walter marriage - 1957

Miss Jean Walter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Walter, and Ronald Hofer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melbert Hofer, all of Luana, were married Sunday morning, May 19, in the home of W. B. Wiethorn, justice of the peace. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Gehring of Luana, brother-in-law and sister of the bride, attended the couple.

Mrs. Hofer is employed as a stenographer with the Rose Lumber company in Dubuque. Mr. Hofer has been employed as a mechanic at Schave's garage in Luana.

After a two weeks' wedding trip to Phoenix, Ariz., Mr. Hofer will enter the armed services.
