Able - Welch marriage - 1957

Miss Marlene Welch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Welch of McGregor, became the bride of Harry Abel, son of Mrs. Frank Heiderschiet of New Albin, Friday, May 17. The Rev. Phalen officiated at the St. Mary's Catholic church in McGregor. Mrs. Ralph Welch attended her sister-in-law as bride's matron, and Duane Collins of McGregor was best man.

The bride is a graduate of the Monona-Farmersburg Community schools and is employed as a nurse's aide at the McGregor hospital. Mr. Abel received his education in the Mar-Mac Consolidated school.

After a wedding trip to the Wisconsin Dells the couple will be at home in McGregor, where Mr. Abel is employed as a painter.
