VOLGA CITY: The marriage of Miss Virginia Marble, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lund E. Marble, Volga, and Everette Schaefer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar F. Schaefer, of Belmont, Wis., took place Tuesday, June 24, in the Evangelical parsonage at Elkader with the pastor, Rev. Paul Kitterer, officiating. The bride's only sister, Miss Lavon Marble, was maid of honor, and Miss Beth Schaefer, the groom's sister, was bridesmaid. Leo Schaefer, the groom's brother, was best man, and Arnold Cords, of Garnavillo, was groomsman.
The bride attended the Volga school and has had employment in Elkader. The groom received his B.A. degree from the State Teachers College at Platteville, Wis. For the past three years, he has taught in the Volga and Central City public schools.
They will spend their honeymoon in Chicago and Minneapolis and after September 01, will be at home in Central City, were Mr. Schaefer will resume his teaching duties in the high school there.
