Allyn - McMillin marriage 1941

At the close of the church service at the McGregor Congregational church Sunday, occurred the marriage of Miss Phyllis McMillin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer McMillin to Lawrence A. Allyn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Allyn of Garnavillo, Rev. J. F. Parsons officiating. Miss Phobe Ann McMillin, the bride's sister, and Wm. Allyn of Burlington, brother of the groom, were the attendants.

Mrs. Allyn is a graduate of the Elkader high school and has taught in the Clayton county rural schools for the past few years

After a wedding trip to the Ozarks, the new couple will make their home on the Allyn farm near Garnavillo.
