Grimme - Downey marriage - 1948

Miss Cathryn Downey, daughter of Joseph Downey, Elgin, and Harold V. Grimme, son of Mrs. Herman Grimme, Dubuque, were married at the St. Joseph rectory in Elkader, June 01, The Rev. B. H. Skahill officiated. Their attendants were Miss Mary Downey, Monona, sister of the bride, and Cyril Ellwanger of Clinton.

Mrs. Grimme is a graduate of Monona high school and for the past four years has been employed in Dubuque. Her husband is a veteran of two and one-half years service in World War Ii and is now employed with the Anderson Construction company at Arlington, S.Dak., where the new home will be made.
