Patzner - Hamlett marriage - 1948

Miss Marian Elizabeth Hamlett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Hamlett, Elkader, became the bride of Delbert M. Patzner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Patzner, Guttenberg, in St. Joseph's Catholic church Thursday, June 17, with the Very Rev. Bernard H. Skahill officiating. Miss Norma Jean Hamlett, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid, and Mark Patzner, brother of the groom, was best man.

Mrs. Patzner is a graduate of Elkader high school and Upper Iowa university and a teacher of Clayton county schools for the past four years. Mr. Patzner is an ex-serviceman, having served with the U.S. Navy. He is employed by the Standard Oil company

After a short honeymoon they will make their home at Rochelle, Ill.
